Have you ever heard of block scheduling?
Well, I hadn’t until just a few weeks ago. I mean I had seen people block out sections of time before in their planners, but I didn’t feel like it was something I would ever do… Until I did it.
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! It is a complete game changer.
For years and years I would see my sister chunk out bits of time in her planner and I thought to myself, “That looks bonkers” I mean, how could someone know exactly what they are going to be doing all day every day for weeks?!?
At the time it just seemed so restrictive. It wasn’t until recently when life and stress forced me to buckle down, that I gave it a try and saw the HUGE benefits of it.
Time Blocking Reduces Stress
Massively reduces stress. I can’t even explain how much it does this.
- Are you the type that says Yes to too many things?
- Do you find yourself running behind and showing up late to important meetings?
- Do you want to start a new routine?
- Do you simply need to get a handle on your days?
If you can answer yes to any of these, then you should for sure check it out.

What To Use With Your Daily Planner to Organize it Better and Make Your Life Easier
The problem: You like to use pens but you don’t want to on your planner.
The solution: Get an erasable pen or marker.
PILOT FriXion Fineliner Erasable Marker Pens- These are technically multi color markers, but they have a fine tip so you can use them like a pen. They are also usable on a Rocketbook. (Bonus!)
Correction Tape– If you don’t like the thought of erasable markers then you’ll need some of this to white over any mistakes or changes.
Erasable Colored Pencils– These work so much better than expected. It’s easy to circle or square around times or even categorize by type with color using these pencils. I highly recommend them.
PILOT FriXion Clicker Erasable Ink Pen– These fine point pens have black ink and write smoothly (if you’re a pen junkie, you know that feeling you get when a pen writes just right)
